Almond Blossoms | Vincent Van Gogh | Wall Art Print 18X27, 24X36, 30X45
As many of us know, Vincent Van Gogh loved nature. Blossoming trees, such as the one featured in Almond Blossom, were one of his favorite subjects to paint. Almond trees flower early in the spring, making them a symbol of new life. This was indeed fitting subject matter, as the painting was a gift for his brother Theo who just had a baby boy. Theo named him after his uncle, Vincent Willem. Thrilled with the news, Van Gogh began the painting straight away. Of course, it was this work that was most sentimental to the Van Gogh family. Vincent Willem went on to found the Van Gogh Museum.
